How do I find a legit spellcaster

Call me crazy and I was never expecting it but I touched this pyramid figurine with crystals and copper wire in it and it felt strange like my hands felt shaky. Not sure if it was all in my head or not.

Whenever I think to practice magic, I get a feeling in my gut that I’m not allowed till something happens or till I do something and idk why. I’m not scared to do it, I’m scared of what might happen if I don’t wait.
