That was quite well put... Yes I did have a longer answer but I realize that I had veered away from the specific frame of atheism versus agnostic.
What’s wrong with the agnostic approach of saying we don’t know?
What dont we know? We cant start with the question: does god exist? The contingent things we need for our existence is the sun forming, Earth forming, and nature starting life. We can answer those questions with naturalism. We know god came from our human minds to fill in the gaps we didnt know. Thats why god is usually a necessary, timeless, immaterial, all powerful, all knowing being. But we see many examples of human cultures creating gods from testimony or personal experiences, revelation but there should be some fact about objective reality that separates "god exists" from "humans have a concept of god". God has never been a justified true belief. Natural explanations have repeatedly replaced supernatural explanations, we know humans create gods, we have no independent verifiable evidence outside our human minds for a god.

In a strictest sense then I guess I'm an atheist... Because I do not believe in a Creator God or that any kind of being has some kind of conscious shaping to our reality
I will say though I find religion interesting through the lens of mythology and the hand it has had in the shaping of civilization.
Yea religion and mythology can still be interesting. But I just care about truth claims. What do we actually know. I could have sworn you had some other longer reply lol. We will always have questions and we will never know "everything", but we know where the concept of god comes from us. We have so many examples of early mankind creating new and different concepts of god but nothing that comes from objective reality like how we make any normal observations, like humans existing or the sun existing. It comes down to how people define god too but most go with some necessary, timeless, immaterial, all powerul, all knowing intelligent being that acts deliberately and I think that is just so it can fill in the gaps we dont know about stuff. I think we get by with just naturalism and determinism as far as explaining the big question on how we got here to the modern day.
