30 with ASD. Was overwhelmed today for the first time in a long time. Supermarket had moved shelves around, shopping list was out of order, too much light, too many people, too much noise 😭
Yeah that happened to me once in Sainsburys. Throw in some really dumb staff and it's all there - I felt like I was going to destroy the place and get arrested.
Noise is the worst for me. Everything is so loud all the time. It physically hurts.
Why do stores ever think it's a good idea to move shelves? There's a pharmacy in the neighborhood I grew up in and the shelves are still in the same place as when I was a kid. Its amazing.
Apparently they do it to trick NTs into buying something new….. I couldn’t find what I wanted, had a breakdown, and left without buying as much as I went for
