I can't wait until the world gets on board that Neurodivergence is not a disorder, it os part of a person, and is not broken.

Anyone who is neurodivergent doesn't need to be "fixed". You are great the way you are.
Precisely!
If people don't want to accept this then they have a problem.
"Which is that disorders/diseases are not just a different form of mental function"...direct quote.
You know neurodivergence is more than just adhd and autism, right? Epilepsy, Tourette's, various personality disorders, CPTSD, traumatic brain injury, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, these are also neurodivergent. They're both fundamental aspects of people's personhood AND disorders, they can be both
Epiliepsy is a medical condition with a neurological component, personality disorders and CPtSD are also separately-diagnosed conditions, and TBI/Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, etc are actual physical damage to neurons. While the they may not be Neurologically typical it is not just a difference in how the brain develops. Typically, the term "Neurodivergence" refers to the following: Autism spectrum disorder (this includes what was once known as Asperger’s syndrome). Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Down syndrome. Dyscalculia (difficulty with math). Dysgraphia (difficulty with writing). Dyslexia (difficulty with reading). Dyspraxia (difficulty with coordination). Intellectual disabilities. Mental health conditions like bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and more. Prader-Willi syndrome. Sensory processing disorders. Social anxiety (a specific type of anxiety disorder). Tourette syndrome. Williams syndrome. Some of them are diagnosable, but all of them are simply a…
One of the essential flaws of leftism in a nutshell: taking compassion to an extreme point to where you end up saying that a mental disorder is totally fine.
Kindly go fuck yourself, asshat.
You seem very angry about a fact of life. Pathetic
You seem to be a clueless, condescending twat.
All disorders are "part of a person."
A disorder is something that can/should be corrected. It may be a condition that a person has, but is not an integral part of that person. Neurodivergence is a spectrum of how a persons internal neurological makeup...their person is diverges from the center of the Neurotypical bell curve. If society were to recognize all parts of that bellcurve as valid (as they are) and treat them according to their strengths and needs (instead of trying to force everyone to conform to "accepted expressions" as defined by people near the center of the bell curve, then people would not find a need to "correct" anything about neurodivergent people.
The difference between neurodivergence and a disorder is symantics, ultimately they are both just deviations from the norm.
But the implication in the word "disorder" is that it is something to be fixed or managed rather than embraced. In what other context to we refer to an integral part of someone's personality as a "disorder?"
