It's about the size of the user base. Whisper had millions of users Whereas Hush has a couple of hundred of thousand. Hush was delisted from the app stores a few times, which killed it's momentum. Then when it finally got reapproved for the Apple Store, a wave of red-pill/incel dudes were using it and scared away all of the new female users coming from Apple. It just couldn't make the numbers with that kind of legacy.
That makes the most sense tbh. Because you could refresh on the old app and always see some new shit someone posted lol
