I have a hard time after knowing people for a while that they seem to think I’ll just like one day be normal and not still have moments that I can’t fully control how my brain works
My AuDHD is weird. Sometimes I’m a social butterfly. Other times I’m a combination of Dwight and Michael from the Office. Vyvanse helps a lot though.
AuDHD and same. I think we’re cool but it’s so hard especially when I can’t find words.
I’m not autistic, but I still suck at making friends
I hate not knowing if the person youre talking to is gonna be normal, or turn into a legitimate villain once they start sniffing out the audhd. I'm so tired of always having to be on guard
The world is not made for neurodivergent people unfortunately:(
Personally, I get too anxious to even talk to people. I can, like, "chime in" on someone else's conversation, or ask a direct and pointed question, but I dont
I understand. Making friends as an AuDHD woman myself is very difficult. Most of the only friendships I've managed to keep are with other neurodivergent people. I recommend looking for other autistic friends who understand your needs. My best friend and I can not talk for months and then pick up like nothing happened. I've had other girlfriends just drop me because I "didn't put in enough effort". I understand that honestly but it's nice to have friendships with people who get as burnt out as you and doesn't hold it against you
And then when you put in effort they react like you’re creepy and try hard to
I'm autistic and struggling too
I'm sorry
Working at a doggy/animal daycare center was my favorite job. I miss it. I feel you.
Gosh this hits hard for me 😭
From one rat to another, I feel you.
Almost all of my friends are neurodivergent. It makes everything easier lol
Relatable. Especially challenging when I have social periods with friends and completely fuck off for months at a time because I don't have the capacity to hold a conversation. I'll take my zoo worth of animals and the outdoors all day. It's easier.
Exactly! so true

Lik3 what
How do you expect me to just…ignore a developmental disorder that affects how I perceive people and how I communicate? 🤣🤣🤣
Learn to cope and move on from it. I stg this generation of fucktards is gong to kill the planet
People are cruel. But people are also kind and understanding too. It's just finding those rare ones along the way that sadly do not come often enough. But when they do, those are the ones that will stay- and there will be no working at keeping them, cuz they don't just go away. Try to think on all of the good things that you DO have when autism is making you feeling like hell. And I'm not sure how morally alright this is, but for me, when all the struggles and challenges that I go thru right by the side of my autistic son, all start to consume me-- I let myself realize that it actually could worse. And there are people unfortunately that have it worse. And in a weird way it helps me to at least appreciate the good that we got! He could be confined to a wheel chair, which I feel would be so hard. And you for instance ...here u are typing away socializing up on social apps . My son doesn't have that capability or even know what any of online is even about. You said you're not good at ta…
See this is why i love the internet! I can totally relate to other neurospicy people. We would love to talk to some other sweet neurodivergent people ya know?
Hey, don’t be so hard on yourself. Even for a Neurotypical it’s challenging. The older you get the harder it is to have any kind of friends or relationships.
Great. I’m going to die alone. I’m already going to the care of the state after my caregivers die. Awesome. I’ve never made friends and now I’m definitely not going to 🤣
Well, we all die alone. It’s not just you. But you’re young enough you still have time.
No we don’t. Every member of my family that’s dies has died with their family and the people they loved. I will not have that. I will die alone in an institution as a ward of the state.
