People who still use the term “Asperger’s Syndrome” or say “Asperger’s” make me want to bang my head into a wall.
If you were originally diagnosed as an aspie, is hard to break the habit. It's also handy to have a shortcut to indicate how well society deals with you. I end up with the equally inaccurate "slightly autistic".

I think the other part kind of contributes to the “high functioning vs low functioning” debate. Which comes with its own problems because people assume that “low functioning “ autists have a low IQ

Yes! That’s exactly it! I get it if you didn’t know. Like, a lot of older people diagnosed in the early 2000s might not have caught up that it changed. But once you know then stop it 😂 it makes you look like a N@zi supp

I couldn't care less where the word comes from. I hate the word autistic and refuse to use it. I would rather say I have Asperger's because of my upbringing.

I try to consider that Ofc but the reminder that it hasn’t been a diagnosis in the DSM or ICD10 for 10 years keeps scratching at my AuDHD brain… plus the whole Nazi thing…
