AI art is theft It’s inhuman It’s for lesser minds
While I do agree that AI art can never replace human creativity, it *can* be useful in certain circumstances. For example... I have a highly creative mind, but I'm currently going through some psych shit that hampers my capacity to express my vision, so I'll occasionally ask for a visual, purely for my own reference. Not posting it, not selling it, just a quick visual so I can see it with my own eyes, not just my mind.

You can visualize anything the exact same way before AI. Write it out, or commission someone to make it for you. Do you ever think about the people who try to make income from their talents who are being put out of work by generative AI? Doesn’t it seem a bit insulting that people feel entitled to the final product but not the talent or labor that goes into producing it?
I’m not selling these images, posting them as my own artwork, or using them to take work away from an artist. I’m using AI as a private visualization tool because I’m currently not able to draw myself, and I don’t have sufficient funds to commission someone else. “Just draw it yourself” isn’t actually an accessible alternative for me, and “just commission an artist” assumes I have disposable income that I simply don’t have. You’re free to dislike AI art, but that doesn’t give you any right to dictate what tools I’m allowed to use for my own private visualization.
