You said he’s not good, but that doesn’t take away from the idea of divine power. Which is why I said, “but he is great.” Like when “the Great War” (World War I) was called that its size and impact only. Someone can see God as good or bad, but to me that is beside the point.

"most people believe", so you're judging God based on your own personal preferences. You agree? From where other than your own preferences do you derive your morality to say whether something is good or bad?
My morality is based on harm, consent, autonomy, and human well-being. Genocide, slavery, sexual violence, and harming children violate all of those. If your morality says those things can be good depending on who does them, then I’m very comfortable saying my standard is better than yours. Do you disagree with these things being bad?
