Partly right. Ex-gasoline CPI was 2.2% and the BoC’s core measures are under 2%, so this jump is fuel from the Iran war. The tariff part doesn’t show up though: grocery inflation is the lowest since May 2024. Bigger issue is groceries still up 33% since 2020. So yes Liberal failures

Of course Carney would take that offer - then we'd have 2 conservatives running instead of 1. Liberal Party policies have been Moderate-Right in recent years. The Conservative Party has moved Far-Right. Harper's still very conservative, and he's been applauding Carney this whole time. He did so at the investment summit last month.
