Yeah we are usually way too oblivious.... But it's because we are conditioned to ignore flirting otherwise if we respond flirtatiously ourselves it is often thrown back at us as being presumptuous or creepy.
Us men never get compliments or are treated nicely so when a chick flirts, we perceive them as only being nice. The way they subtle hint is a tight line. They could be flirting and if we flirt back, it goes well but on the opposite end, if they are just being nice but we perceive it as flirting and flirt back, we are immediately labeled incels and creeps.
Tell them exactly what you mean. Flirting doesnt work too well sadly, because a lot of guys either dont notice, notice way too late, think your just being nice, or its too subtle for us to even realize.
And some will see being nice as flirting
