Anyone who works full time should be compensated enough to afford the basics one needs to function in society
Ppl should be able to live and have a small luxury (like being able to do a trip)
Hear me out, everyone deserves enough to survive. Working should be for additional pleasures. Everyone deserves housing, food, medical care, ect.

Yeah. Because living shouldn't be a privilege. In fact, in societies with UBI (universal base income) citizens are happier at work and there is more scientific advancements, as well as more people in the arts. When people don't have to worry about survival they thrive and work because they want to, which makes for better workers.

Not a socialist in any way, shape or form, but hard agree. No matter your political or economic philosophy everyone decent can agree that by virtue of working a full time job, you should be able to meet basic living requirements. I'll go a step further and say you should also be entitled to some fundamental luxuries, namely access to information via news, internet, etc. Getting real sick of having to defend capitalism when American capitalists have turned it into a sick poverty roulette.

Working minimum wage earns you a minimum living, don’t expect to live outside your means.
It should afford you the minimum you need, but it doesn’t. That’s the problem.
It does though people don’t need iPhones when working as a cashier.
A phone with internet isn’t a luxury anymore. It’s how people apply for jobs, manage benefits, access healthcare, banking, two factor authentication, and emergencies. But even ignoring that, minimum wage often doesn’t cover a studio apartment, let alone food, utilities, transportation, healthcare, and basic survival. The problem isn’t “living outside your means.” The problem is wages being below the cost of existing.
