Fathers that feel their household needs to fear them deserve to get their ass beat

Business idea: women who are hired by tired wives to beat up shitty men.

Whooped my ex's ass a couple times cuz he kept getting drunk and mean af to me and my kids to the point of making them cry(they didnt see me best him). Will happily be the bearer of karma for another POS.

agreed. men like that destroyed my life. if I weren't scared of prison I'd've killed the men who "raised" me a long time ago

exactly like just say you can’t communicate for shit

Facts. Those men end up being a story being told by their victims on Evil Lives Here on Hulu.

As a father I agree wholeheartedly. My primary responsibility is to keep my family safe. If they fear me then they would not tell me something that may hurt them if they don’t feel safe talking to me.

Youre a good man! Its important also that our children choose to be good people and to make the right decisions because they are good people instead of choosing to not do the wrong thing because they are afraid of what dad will do when he finds out.

My wife and I agreed long ago that is better they feel safe telling us anything and everything than to show how much what they did makes us mad. Do I get mad when my kid crashed the car into a light pole in a parking lot? Sure but I first made sure they were ok and we handled any damage to the car.

The household has to trust that the father can protect them and he's the best one to do so, it's not about fearing the father

My husband is one of those. Whether it's on purpose or not I don't know for sure but I've told him he's a tyrant before.

ITS SPOOKY SEASON

It just seems incongruous. Here we are talking about abuse, look at the cute spoopy penguin.

Agreed

Ruling by fear is absolute though, there's never a question. There's no doubt if they do or don't fear you. To be loved means you must first feel that you are worthy. That you deserve to be loved. People that feel this way do not feel deserving of love, they feel validation through fear and speak with violence. This too is a trauma response

by Squibbles · 0 hearts

And? A grown ass adult, especially a parent, is responsible for addressing their trauma and not taking it out on the most vulnerable people around you. Thats fucking weak.

by mint green_checkout · 0 hearts

I'm not validating or justifying the negative behaviour. Just expressing the source and process

by orange_cobweb · 0 hearts

I'll never understand it tbh, like id want my family to love me and want me not be afraid smh
