Charlie Kirk asserted that blacks were getting jobs as airline pilots and doctors without relevant qualifications…with no evidence…when in fact both professions are understaffed and that’s not what DEI is or is about. He literally claimed people of color getting equal rights and access to public spaces (the civil rights act) weakened free speech…and it was a mistake. There’s nothing taken out of context. He claimed two highly educated black women were mentally inferior to him (without evidence) and that they had taken a white person’s place (again without evidence)… That is racist dog whistling. I know!! He’s the reason why I started paying attention to politics and why for the first time ever at 30 I voted red. A 5’2 Mexican girl in southwest Detroit walked in to vote terrified someone would ask me who I voted for. Southwest Detroit is very blue and a bit Hispanic population. After Charlie was killed I stopped caring what others thought and I’ve been loud about my views. I’ve had so many people block me and stopped talking to me. It’s crazy.
