The issue is, like so many things, what started off as a well meaning and important call out #Notallmen has changed over time after being repeated to people that have no idea what they are talking about over the internet for years. When a woman describes a real world experience and it's written off as "well not all men behave that way, I don't see why it's a me problem" that is clearly an issue that needs to be addressed but now a lot of the time a man says "not all men" it's in direct response you someone calling out men as a gender. Any sentence that beings "Men are, Men do, Men Say, Men think" isn't calling out a systemic issue. And people are going to defend their gender. In FACT people should be defending EVERYONES gender. Men should be sticking up for women against the rise in incel culture and women should be defending men from the rot that's currently corrupting feminism from the inside out.
