Being pregnant with my son damn near killed me. Because our blood types are different. If I was given his blood type in a transfusion, I would literally die. My body indeed tried to fight him off like it would a parasite or a virus. So what you said isn't always true and not just in cases like mine. I was sick from the time that I found out that I was pregnant until the day that I gave birth. Like projectile vomiting sick. That's not including the horrible heartburn, the inability to eat meat for months in the beginning and the end, the constant guess work of what I could eat and what would be rejected which was legit an everyday battle because the shit constantly changed, and the extreme amount of pain that I dealt with. Legit every single day was absolutely fucking miserable. Anything that feeds off of your body to sustain itself is indeed a parasite by definition. Hell even in easy pregnancies, fetuses literally drain you of your calcium and other vitamins and minerals. You're not…
But that literally isn’t the definition of a parasite, a parasite can only be so if it is a different species to the host, otherwise it isn’t one. Thats the dictionary definition. So regardless of how sick your children made you in utero, they literally weren’t parasites and no fetus is.

I don’t agree with abortion morally but I don’t think it should be banned. What if women who have miscarriages are investigated? What if women who need abortions because they’d die otherwise can’t have them?
Does a baby choose to be born? No. Nobody asked me if I wanted to be born, I might have reconsidered this whole life thing, but here I am having to deal with insufferable people. Pregnancy is a burden, an unfair burden to put on someone who doesn't even want the child. Until we have artificial wombs we can put fetuses in I don't think abortion is immoral. I don't see fetuses as people. There's always all this talk about heartbeat, but I think it's very simple. A beating heart is unimportant, what is important is consciousness, when does the fetus grow a conscious of its own. That's when it's too late to abort.
Burden is a strong word
It most certainly is a burden, one that you can carry throughout a lifetime. Not all pregnancies are the same. Some are painful. Perhaps burden is not strong enough of a word.

My son was indeed a parasite because he was incompatible with my body and my body tried to kill him to save me and I was sick because of it. Thankfully I don't expect someone who didn't deal with what I did with to even understand that. But go off, love.
