I don't think textrelationships are healthy aka playing out your entire relationship over text/phone. If you aren't making plans to meet up for a date, don't ever text a man romantically. That will teach you healthy boundaries, prevent rumination and stop you from putting words above actions. Most importantly it will stop you from panicking over not hearing for someone for 2 days. Ideally the right man wouldn't be able to go 2 days without wondering about you but then he would be planning time to hang out with you so he can hear all about what you've been up to. And a man who truly likes you won't have you guessing about his feelings ever. Please understand that last sentence and keep it as law.

Maybe it was a car accident or a medical event. Maybe he’s making 36hr stock that needs to be stirred counterclockwise continuously. Maybe his girlfriend blocked your number.

I don’t think considering things would take that long, also it’s not too hard to just send a short message letting u know what’s going on even if he’s extremely busy, if he doesn’t respect you and your time, he doesn’t deserve it

I have really bad executive dysfunction so I'll forget people exist if I don't see them regularly, I can reply to your text in my head and never actually send it and think everything is fine for weeks

May be completely oblivious and not thinking about any thing at all

by BarryCaulkinah · 2 hearts

He's not into you 😞

by wtfwrongwithu · 2 hearts

Hearted, she has to accept the truth.

by BarryCaulkinah · 1 heart

We make time for those we want and like. It's sad when it's not reciprocated but at least he showed her

by wtfwrongwithu · 2 hearts

You can't really tell. It's best to accept whatever decision he makes. You need to be happy with yourself and except things for what they are. If he smells a stench of nervousness/neediness/panic from you then its over. I know because im a guy myself. Give the man space and date around.. Don't settle.

If a guy takes more than a day to reply I just assume he's not that into me

by GuyInTennessee · 1 heart

It means he's already forgotten about a dumbass of a woman like you who'd ask this kind of a question

by turquoise_comfort · 1 heart

Idk but if he can go a day without chatting you, you're not the one babydoll

by Kwnen · 1 heart

If he hasn’t shown consistent interest or made an effort, don’t give it any more of your energy. Know your worth and move forward toward someone who is genuinely interested.

by Kinkypoet0507 · 1 heart

If you're talking to someone romantically and they disappear for days, quit putting forth effort. Move on.

by Livinlow · 1 heart

Just automatically assumed they will all ghost and just avoid these ridiculous disposable "mini" relationships altogether

by Libra_exchange · 1 heart

Maybe he doesn't want to mess it up 🤔

by vestiphobia96 · 1 heart

He's employed. Relax.

The very simple answer is “if he wanted to, he would”. Just pay attention to how he arranges his priorities. A man that finds you or whoever to be a priority is going to find a way to reach out. You’re going to get a good morning and probably a good night at minimum.

by -Anonymish- · 0 hearts

This is such a dumb take. That works both ways, so maybe instead of putting the onus on him, maybe she should actually communicate her concerns with him.

by ChaosGoblin · 1 heart

It’s a dumb take to realize that priorities are what they are? It doesn’t mean he’s a bad person. Maybe he’s just not into it. And that’s fine. I completely agree that she should communicate. But sometimes they won’t respond. They just go ghost. It happens.

by -Anonymish- · 0 hearts

It’s a dumb take because it completely disregards most of the psychological factors for why people do things. People don’t just do something because they want to and making this claim is always just an assumption. You don’t know any of the other factors involved. That’s why you take is stupid.

If he wanted to he would

Ghosting

by JessieJester77 · 1 heart

It depends on the guy and situation. Most likely ghosting but not necessarily.

by Lit_purple · 1 heart

Tbh I've had it where a guy just needs space after we talked a bunch, and he comes back and then things carry on well

by Lit_purple · 2 hearts

But it's not worth getting anxious/stressed over btw!

by red_dwarf · 1 heart

If it’s me. I just get busy and focus on working.

by indigo_pigsty · 1 heart

It means he has someone else that has his attention.

I got to my cottage regularly where I have very poor signal(this is a perk). If I am chatting with someone in a romantic way. I always warn them. Hey, I am going to my cottage to unplug I will talk to you when I am back in civilization.

Same question, different gender: If a woman goes quiet for a day or two, is she making a decision about the connection or simply ghosting?
