Its still his child. He should have a say. You didnt have alone. If either want to back out of the parency within a reasonable time period they should he allowed to forfeit their rights as a parent. If they want to terminate it should be their right. And if someone wants to keep the child out of moral responsibility or whatever. They should be allowed that opportunity. But demonizing and dispensing punitive action against the other party is misguided. And the energy and resource could go to the child. Argue with a wall.
