I know this may surprise you, but theres a way to immigrate legally. That means those who do it illegally do so by choice knowing theres a legal way to do it. That means they choose to break the law, and should be deported and barred from immigrating legally.
I know this may surprise you, but waiting or paying for a visa would mean death for some people. Plus, it’s basically impossible to get a visa to the USA, if you’re from certain countries. What would you do, if your city gets bombed and children get shot at the street? Would you tell your family “No, no, we won’t flee, we’ll wait until we’re either getting shot or get a visa”? Or if your family is already starving, your children already showing signs of malnourishment and possibly die in the next few weeks without proper food. Would you tell them to just deal with it, because you have to migrate “legally”? Don’t be ridiculous
Do you think animals don't often try to kill migratory animals? Bears prey on salmon that migrate to mate. And they don't even eat the whole body if they don't have to. They'll just eat their favorite parts if there are enough salmon.
