Happiness doesn’t always need excitement. Sometimes it’s peace, purpose, good people, and learning to appreciate the little things.

Hobbies. I fully believe everyone needs a physical one, and artistic one, and one to work your brain. And people. Finding people who support you through all phases of life helps too Learning to appreciate little things and slowdown has also helped with my happiness. Being human is a lot of work

Cry when you’re upset. Those tears contain cortisol which kicks into overdrive when you’re stressed. Tears actually have different compositions depending upon what makes you cry. Also get your vitamin D levels tested. No not dick, the actual vitamin made by being in the sunshine. Some places don’t get the correct UV rays to make it so you may need to supplement it. If you’re deficient, take 10,000 IUs. Less is ineffective for increasing the concentration. Finally, drink some catnip tea. It’s tasty and helps the nervous system relax.

Hobbies help me. I like to write and that makes me feel like I did something productive. Or I like a walk, going outside for air.

Everyone’s already mentioned a lot of good ones, so here’s the rest: Autonomy. Purpose. Doing more and being passive less. Complexity. A connection between effort and reward. A good wholesome community you interact with daily. Love. Hope. Excitement. Traveling. A nice home.

Allowing yourself to be yourself and actually do what makes you happy, no matter if you think it’s cringe.

I know it's kind of cliche, but working out makes me feel a lot better.

Gratitude. Most of us live extremely privileged lives compared to billions of people. Learn to appreciate the little things. Remember to enjoy the moment. I could talk about some spiritual things that helped me but I don't assume you have spiritual beliefs so I won't elaborate unless you're interested. Remember this is nothing but a fleeting moment, and that you are the byproduct of many thousand of years of love manifested as a person.

Write down 3-5 things that you are grateful for at the end of each day. It sounds silly but it helps

Outdoor hobbies. Walks, hikes, kayaking, picnics.

Take a walk through nature. A simple trail through the woods. No phone for distractions and then to end it go watch the water at a pond lake or ocean

Expressionism is a idea. Find some way to let out your thoughts through a creative medium, like art or writing, and that can help with peace of mind. Closure can lead to happiness
