There's plenty of other lgbt days throughout the entire year. And considering that gay people are generally more accepted than trans people, I don't think this is asking too much.
Just seems like there's a lot of new international days there didn't used to be but I guess with international down syndrome day bringing light to this medical condition is not a bad thing Known many trans people my whole life and from everything I've been told by them it's a truly horrifying condition
Well as the surgery is only been around since like the 1960s And it's hard to get an exact date though it was after world war II Institut für Sexualwissenschaft (Institute for Sexual Science) in Berlin, Unfortunately the work this facility was doing with intersex people is now attributed to transgenderism But the only history example I've ever found before the 1960s is one one Roman emperor that wanted sex reassignment surgery but was told at the time it was impossible Technically your right but it doesn't change the fact that transgenders only make up 0.1% of the global population and the statistics are 1% for people who say they identify but statistics show the higher number usually only lasts between 13-30 years old Though as the earliest studies on what causes the condition shows we have A lot of stressed and poorly taken care of pregnant females if this disability is increasing this much
That's not why people are trans, but ok. And I wasn't just talking about medical transition. Trans and non-conforming people have always existed, even if we aren't a lot in number. And despite our small number, we're still being targeted.
Yeah but transgendered is a recognized medical condition it's one of the reasons the laws were put in place to regulate the surgery in the first place because when it first became widely available there was a huge number of people who committed suicide because after the surgery they got gender dysphoria because they didn't have the neurological condition just wanted to change basically At least it's not even a 10th as bad as it was when I was a teenager I used to hear about a couple people locally a week who were beaten to death or targeted for hate crimes just because of their sexuality it is so much less prevalent now than it was 20 years ago
Yes, hate crimes have gone down for all lgbt people, but trans people are still generally the most targeted. And I'm not talking about regulations on medical transition. We've been targeted in every way the last several years especially. Gay people have become more accepted, so now trans people are the new scapegoats for the alt right
