Well, being "fat" as you put it, comes with health risks and often a lesser quality of life. Most people don't want either of those things. Also, often, being fat is automatically associated with being lazy - outside of underlying health conditions causing someone to gain weight. Most nonlazy people don't want to be with someone that doesn't have the same lifestyle as them. "Fat" people should strive to be healthy 🤷♂️
